Using only the highest quality materials available, we create the strongest possible surface for years of beautiful, functional, and reliable use. Our chemical processes generate hard-wearing surfaces that can last over 15 years with proper care. Our resilient surfaces are resistant to chips, cracks, and bubbling. Don’t settle for less than the best when it comes to bathtub resurfacing and repair.
The Michael’s Resurfacing Difference
Michael’s Resurfacing goes beyond layering a new coat of paint over an old tub. Because bathtubs are used frequently, it’s vital to get the job right. We go through multiple steps to carefully upgrade, beautify, and restore your bathroom fixtures.
First, we make any required tub repairs, including minor dent and ding repairs, to ensure the smoothest possible result. Second, we thoroughly clean the surface and remove old silicone caulking, if necessary. Once the surface is prepared, we apply our bonding agent. This allows our coatings to bond directly with the original surface. After our bonding agent has been applied, our resurfacing technicians apply three layers of primer to ensure a strong foundation. Once this is complete, we finish with three layers of topcoat material and allow everything to cure overnight.
We go the extra mile by returning the next morning to correct any minor flaws. This will ensure that your fixture looks and feels amazing. Our unmatched quality and care have made Michael’s Resurfacing Kansas’ leading resurfacing service.

A store-bought shower or bathtub patch can not only look bad, it may not even work.
Quick and cheap repair work can often result in an unsightly bathtub patch and can leave the tub or other fixture worse off than it was before the “repair.” That’s why Michael’s Resurfacing has led the way in unrivaled bathroom repairs. Our repair services for cracked, chipped or leaking tubs and showers are extremely durable, long-lasting, and blend seamlessly with the surrounding surfaces. Don’t settle for less than Michael’s Resurfacing’s best.
Chips and Cracks
Our unique repair process allows us to mend chips and most cracks in bathtubs, showers, sinks, and countertops. Using a specially formulated resin that adheres to and strengthens the original surface, we fill chips and seal cracks. Once smoothed, the area is seamlessly covered by either resurfacing or simply being color matched, leaving you with a repaired area that’s aesthetically pleasing.
Leaking Shower Pan
We can repair and resurface leaking shower pans in one of two ways. For smaller cracks and hairline fractures, we place a revolutionary water-resistant seal on top of the existing surface. This seal fills in any cracks or fractures that are, or may potentially cause leaking. The seal also creates a smooth, solid surface that’s highly resistant to future cracking.
When larger cracks or structural damage is an issue, we use a more intense shower pan resurfacing method known as a “full-bottom rebuild.” As the name suggests, we basically rebuild the bottom of your bathtub or shower using fiberglass mesh and resin to create a stronger surface. Once the new bottom has been added, we leave a seamless repair by resurfacing over the top of it. We also use a similar, but less intensive, process to solve problems with pooling water.
Both repairs require resurfacing to cover and seal the work against water and make the repair aesthetically pleasing.
Peeling or Failed Resurfacing Job
When your previous refinisher’s work fails, call Michael’s Resurfacing. We’re more than happy to fix the damage and provide you with the quality you deserve. We’ve found that the most common cause for failed resurfacing is improper adhesion, which can result from numerous factors. Therefore, we use our proprietary bonding system accompanied with a thorough preparation process to ensure a lasting hold.
If a fixture has been previously resurfaced by a different company, it may be necessary to remove their product to ensure proper adhesion. By removing the old product, we ensure that the new coating remains strong and intact for years to come. Once the original surface is uncovered, we properly adhere the new coating for a lifetime of easy care.
Standard repairs include:
- Failed resurfacing
- Water pooling
- Rust removal
- Fiberglass flexing
